Terms & Conditions
Welcome to True Wags. By booking any of our services—including dog walking, pet sitting, or (in the future) behaviour consulting—you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Definitions
- “Client” means the person who books our services.
- “Service Provider” means Your Business Name or its authorised agents.
- “Pet” means the animal(s) in the care of the Service Provider.
- “Force Majeure Event” means an event beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, strikes, or pandemics.
2. Services Offered
- Dog Walking: Scheduled walks at agreed times and locations.
- Pet Sitting: In-home care for your pets while you’re away.
- Behaviour Consulting (Coming Soon): Professional guidance to address behavioural challenges.
3. Booking & Payment
All bookings must be confirmed via our online portal or email. Payment is due in full at the time of booking. We accept credit/debit cards and PayPal.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
To cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of service will incur a 50% fee. No-shows are charged in full.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Ensure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations and licences.
- Provide current emergency contact and veterinary information.
- Secure all gates, doors, and any potential hazards before our arrival.
6. Liability & Indemnification
While we take every precaution, we are not liable for injuries, accidents, or illnesses that occur during our services, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims.
7. Emergency Care
In the event of a pet emergency, you authorise us to seek veterinary care at your expense. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before acting.
8. Privacy & Confidentiality
We respect your privacy. Any personal information you provide is used solely for the purpose of delivering our services and is processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
9. Insurance & Bonding
We carry public liability insurance and are fully bonded. Details of our cover are available on request.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to a Force Majeure Event. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and agree a revised service date where practical.
11. Access & Keys
- Keys or access codes must be provided prior to service commencement.
12. Pet Behaviour & Health
- You must disclose any aggressive behaviour or medical conditions.
- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if undisclosed risks arise.
13. Termination
We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect if:
- You fail to pay any fees when due;
- Your pet’s behaviour poses a safety risk;
- You breach any material term of these conditions.
14. Fees & Late Payments
Late payments incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, compounded monthly. Additional fees may apply for holiday services or out-of-hours bookings.
15. Intellectual Property
Any reports, training plans, photographs or other materials created by us remain our copyright. You may use them for private, non-commercial purposes only.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
17. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full force. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
18. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted on our website.
